Traditionally biscotti were produced with much less sugar than cookies and biscuits. Bakers would sweeten them with spices and dried fruit. We did just that with our cranberry almond biscotti to make the perfect semi-sweet biscotti. The dried cranberries keep this cookie interesting and balance the unique taste of anise superbly.
